Meet the Golf AI Team!
Veteran. Machine Learning Engineer. Golf Fanatic.
Making a difference has always been Broderick’s guiding principle. Broderick followed in his older brother’s footsteps and joined the U.S. Air Force in 2010. Broderick enjoyed the discipline, goal-oriented challenges, and meeting people from all over the world. It fed his appetite to travel the globe and introduced him to a new passion, the game of golf which was available on all the Air Force bases.
During his eight years of service, Broderick received training in and opportunities to develop computer science skills, especially in coding and machine learning. This, along with his solutions-oriented, problem solving approach to work, resulted in his nomination for Airman of the Year 2017 for saving the Air Force millions of dollars using data science.
Broderick is a Machine Learning Engineer with experience at Google, Sony, and several startup companies, in addition to having worked for the U.S. Airforce as Director of Data Science. Broderick earned a B.S. in Cognitive Science with an emphasis on Machine Learning and Neural Computation from the University of California San Diego in 2019.
Broderick built Golf AI, using computer vision, to make golf swing improvement accessible for everyone as a way to make a difference and grow the game. Golf is Broderick’s go-to for achieving work-life balance while enjoying the outdoors with family and friends.
